Projects: A Film for Ezekiel Hernandez

Ezekiel Hernandez was a young honors student who lived on the outskirts of El Paso, Texas. He was shot while tending his family flock of goats by a group of US Marines in deep camouflage. The Marines were helping to patrol the border in the war on drugs and were armed with standard combat weapons. Ezekiel carried a 22-calibre rifle to ward off wolves and coyotes. The marines claim that they were under attack and taking fire. Ezekiel was in high school when he was killed.
